Bonzai is currently enjoying life in a foster home, where he's been able to relax and show his true personality. While he can be a little nervous in the shelter environment, once he feels safe and gets to know you, he transforms into an incredibly sweet and affectionate companion.
He's used to living around other cats, making him a great candidate for a multi-cat household with the right introductions. Bonzai would thrive in a calm, patient home that will give him the time he needs to settle in and feel secure.
One important thing to know about Bonzai is that he has a high escape drive-he's curious about the outside world! Because of this, he will need to be kept as an indoor-only cat. A home with a secure catio or enclosed outdoor space would be perfect, allowing him to safely enjoy fresh air and sunshine.

The Adoption Process
Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat you are welcome to visit both our Wingfield and Edinburgh North locations between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday.
Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday. Dog adoptions from Edinburgh North are by application only. Please fill out the application form on the dog's profile and wait for our staff to contact you.
Please note: if the animal you wish to adopt is listed as 'application only', please fill out the form on their profile and wait for our team to be in touch.
Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
