Meet me

A little bit about me

  • 1 year old
  • Male
  • Black White
  • Desexed
  • Medium size
  • Adoption Fee: $50

Hello, my name is Domino. I am a rather shy, nervous young boy but I am doing my best to be brave. When people approach me slowly & gently I may lean in for face pats & knead my blankets. Since I arrived at the shelter, when anyone is around, I stay in my bed space which is small, cosy & where I feel safe.

My new home will need to be a quiet one where I have access to some small, safe spaces with soft blankets that I can snuggle into to help me settle. The lovely staff here will be able to discuss this further. My new owner will need to let me stay in these spaces as long as I want, although I would love some face pats & gentle encouragement too. Everyone here says I am a sweet, gentle boy. Could you be the one to love me & help me to come out of my shell? Come & meet me today & let's see.

The Adoption Process

We have moved to adoption by appointment only due to impending COVID-19 restrictions. Please note that the booking of an appointment does not mean the animal is on hold and we will endeavour to advise you if the animal is adopted prior to your appointment.

Dogs that are listed as application only are not available for meet and greets. If your application is successful you will be contacted by an AWL staff member and proceed to the next steps of your adoption journey.

Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
