Meet meThe name is Tutti-Fruiti!! I am as sweet as I sound but can be a little nervous meeting new people and sorry to say boys but I think I'm looking for a household ran mostly by females as I am struggling to warm up to the males I've met so far. When I first came to the shelter I was really worried and didn't want anyone to come near me but with time and patience I slowly warmed up to most and for the lucky ones I am super silly, playful and love a good run and play. I'm looking for a calm relaxed home without young children where I can come out of my shell and gain some confidence in a friendly loving environment. I am a considered a high energy dog and if you're lucky enough to win me over you will see what I mean. I do not like confined spaces so a house where I am free to roam inside and outside in the backyard when I want at all times would be more suitable and beneficial for me. During the night I would like to be inside with you and even have my own special spot on your bed or at least next to your bed. If you think you might have the home for me then put an application in and if I find what I am looking for in your application only then will I give you call and we can talk treats.

Currently, appointments are not required if you wish to adopt a cat. If you wish to adopt a cat, you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location any time between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday, or our Edinburgh North location any time between 10am and 3pm, Thursday to Sunday. If you wish to adopt a dog, you must still book an appointment. Please note that the booking of an appointment does not mean the animal is on hold and we will endeavour to advise you if the animal is adopted prior to your appointment.
Dogs and cats that are listed as application are not always available for meet and greets. If your application is successful you will be contacted by an AWL staff member and proceed to the next steps of your adoption journey.
Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
