Maxie

German Shepherd Kelpie

Meet me

A little bit about me

  • 5 years old
  • Male
  • Animal ID: 256396
  • Desexed
  • Large size
  • Adoption Fee: $300

Hi there my name is Maxie and I'm applying for the position to become your new best friend. I have great references...here are just some of the positive things my current friends say about me.. Maxie is very motivated (food and toys are the best motivators) and he's always ready to take on new challenges that are thrown his way (balls). Maxie works well with people and can brighten anyone's day with his people pleasing skills (sits and drops). Maxie is a very tidy and organised boy and prides himself in keeping to routines and schedules and works best without certain distractions (other dogs, kids and pocket pets).

So that's just a snippet of my qualities and skills but I'm looking to upskill and obtain a position where I can find a mentor who can commit to me for a lifelong full of fun and will pass on all their experiences I need in life to be the bestest companion to them. Book in to meet me and let's see if we hit it off.

See me in action!

Where can you find me?

I am at the Wingfield location.
1-19 Cormack Road, Wingfield SA 5013

The Adoption Process

Currently, appointments are not required if you wish to adopt a cat. If you wish to adopt a cat, you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location any time between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday, or our Edinburgh North location any time between 10am and 3pm, Thursday to Sunday. If you wish to adopt a dog, you must still book an appointment. Please note that the booking of an appointment does not mean the animal is on hold and we will endeavour to advise you if the animal is adopted prior to your appointment.

Dogs and cats that are listed as application are not always available for meet and greets. If your application is successful you will be contacted by an AWL staff member and proceed to the next steps of your adoption journey.

Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
