Pleased to meet you, I'm the lovely Vana,
I have found the world to be a big scary place, but with some love and patience, you'll get to see the sweet and loving kitten I truly am.
I am very playful, so lots of enrichment activities will certainly keep me entertained.
While in foster, I became friends with the resident cat and we would spend our days playing and grooming each other. I also enjoyed sitting on the indoor window ledge in the sun, watching the world go by.
Once I learn to trust you and let my guard down, I'll come to you for pats and you will then be rewarded with the sweetest purr you've ever heard.
There are so many reasons to adopt a black cat like myself, some of which; I will match any decor, I look like a tiny panther and the best one is that when you adopt a black cat, luck will always be with you!

The Adoption Process
Currently, appointments are not required if you wish to adopt a cat. If you wish to adopt a cat, you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location any time between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday, or our Edinburgh North location any time between 10am and 3pm, Thursday to Sunday. If you wish to adopt a dog, you must still book an appointment. Please note that the booking of an appointment does not mean the animal is on hold and we will endeavour to advise you if the animal is adopted prior to your appointment.
Dogs and cats that are listed as application are not always available for meet and greets. If your application is successful you will be contacted by an AWL staff member and proceed to the next steps of your adoption journey.
Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
