Hi there, I'm Shera,

I have found the world to be a scary place, but if you are willing to take it slow with me and show me lots of love and patience, we will be best friends in no time.

I am a little shy at first, but once I relax you will see I'm the queen of head boops and biscuit making!

I am also a bit of a purr machine and cuddling up next to you will be one of my most fave things to do.

If I sound like the cat for me, please put in an application for me today.

Love, Shera xoxo

The Adoption Process

Currently, appointments are not required if you wish to adopt a cat. If you wish to adopt a cat, you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location any time between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday, or our Edinburgh North location any time between 10am and 3pm, Thursday to Sunday. If you wish to adopt a dog, you must still book an appointment. Please note that the booking of an appointment does not mean the animal is on hold and we will endeavour to advise you if the animal is adopted prior to your appointment.

Dogs and cats that are listed as application are not always available for meet and greets. If your application is successful you will be contacted by an AWL staff member and proceed to the next steps of your adoption journey.

Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
