Splodge & Java are a bonded pair that must be adopted together. Price is $35 each, $70 for the pair.

Hello friends, I'm Splodge!

Java and I met in the shelter & quickly became great friends! We're a bit shy with new people but go gentle with us and let us get to know you. We've found the world to be a scary place so far. Can you please help us feel safe again? Our dream is to find a home where we can curl up on the sofa and safely snooze next to you.

Please be nice and patient with us, we're still working on our confidence and learning that interaction with humans can be positive.

Please take us home today and let the cuddles begin!

I am a bonded pair!

To pick me up you’re going have to pick up my buddy too.

The adoption fee is per animal.

The Adoption Process

Currently, appointments are not required if you wish to adopt a cat. If you wish to adopt a cat, you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location any time between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday, or our Edinburgh North location any time between 10am and 3pm, Thursday to Sunday. If you wish to adopt a dog, you must still book an appointment. Please note that the booking of an appointment does not mean the animal is on hold and we will endeavour to advise you if the animal is adopted prior to your appointment.

Dogs and cats that are listed as application are not always available for meet and greets. If your application is successful you will be contacted by an AWL staff member and proceed to the next steps of your adoption journey.

Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
