Meet me

A little bit about me

  • 5 years old
  • Female
  • Animal ID: 257305
  • Desexed
  • Medium size
  • Adoption Fee: $50

Hi! I'm Merry! I've raised all my babies (my foster-carer said I was the best Mumma ever!) and they've all found their furever homes. Now it's my turn. Ok, so it looks like I might have slipped with my lipstick but that just makes me unique! I'm a quiet girl who is happy spending my days looking out the window, watching the world go by. I love chin and cheek scritches and will purr up a storm for you in return. I'm not sure about laps yet, but if there are pats involved I could probably be persuaded. I do have a playful streak and love anything ribbony or stringy to chase. I love my food and treats, and am very well house-trained so you wont have any problems there. Do you have room in your house and your heart for me?

Where can you find me?

I am at the Wingfield location.
1-19 Cormack Road, Wingfield SA 5013

The Adoption Process

Currently, appointments are not required if you wish to adopt a cat. If you wish to adopt a cat, you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location any time between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday, or our Edinburgh North location any time between 10am and 3pm, Thursday to Sunday. If you wish to adopt a dog, you must still book an appointment. Please note that the booking of an appointment does not mean the animal is on hold and we will endeavour to advise you if the animal is adopted prior to your appointment.

Dogs and cats that are listed as application are not always available for meet and greets. If your application is successful you will be contacted by an AWL staff member and proceed to the next steps of your adoption journey.

Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
