I might seem like a really confident boy when you meet but deep down I am very insecure, I need someone that will look into my eyes and see my true potential, finally commit to me and finally provide me with the stability, routine, exercise and time I really need to show you what the shelter staff see in me. My favorite things are: playing with toys, going for car rides and watching the world pass by, I love being loved and told what a good boy I am and how well I am doing, I especially love having my playdates with my doggy friends here in the shelter.
My dislikes are: feeling like I am never going to find a home that isn't going to give me a real chance and really get to know who I am and what I need to fit in.
There is so much more to me and there is power in the energy and intelligence a dog like me has... are you the one willing to help me harness it? Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat (who is not adopt by application), you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday, or our Edinburgh North location between 10am and 3pm, Thursday to Sunday.
Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you must complete the application form first and if your application is successful you will be contacted by an AWL staff member and proceed to the next steps of your adoption journey.
Please note we no longer do walk throughs of cats or dogs in order to provide a calmer environment for them.
Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
