Meet me

A little bit about me

  • 3 years old
  • Male
  • Animal ID: 257751
  • Desexed
  • Large size
  • Adoption Fee: $300

Hi I'm the handsome Jax! I'm looking for a forever home to call my own. I can be a little nervous at first but I'll warm up once I get to know you a bit better. I'll be best suited to a calm home with adults as I'd get a little nervous with children wanting to pat me all the time. I do love zoomies in the yard and snuggling up in bed so a home where I can freely go in and out would be great. How could anyone say no to my handsome face? Come and meet me at the shelter!

The Adoption Process

Currently, appointments are not required if you wish to adopt a cat. If you wish to adopt a cat, you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location any time between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday, or our Edinburgh North location any time between 10am and 3pm, Thursday to Sunday. If you wish to adopt a dog, you must still book an appointment. Please note that the booking of an appointment does not mean the animal is on hold and we will endeavour to advise you if the animal is adopted prior to your appointment.

Dogs and cats that are listed as application are not always available for meet and greets. If your application is successful you will be contacted by an AWL staff member and proceed to the next steps of your adoption journey.

Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
