Hi I'm Ridgie Didgie! I'm looking for a home where I can have lots of toys and lots of cuddles! I'm a big boy but I can be a little shy and nervous at times, I will need a family that can help me with my confidence and give me lots of praise! I like to investigate new things but then I get spooked easily. I do have elbow hygromas so will need a big, cosy bed with lots of blankies, we can share yours!! If you're looking for a dog that will jump on you and give you kisses when you get home from work, that's me! Pop in an application today!!

The Adoption Process

Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat (who is not adopt by application), you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday, or our Edinburgh North location between 10am and 3pm, Thursday to Sunday.

Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you must complete the application form first and if your application is successful you will be contacted by an AWL staff member and proceed to the next steps of your adoption journey.

Please note we no longer do walk throughs of cats or dogs in order to provide a calmer environment for them.

Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
