Hello there! My name is Iris and I am a sweet and gentle girl who is looking for a new home with my best friend, Orchid. We are a bonded pair, and we have been through a lot together, but we are ready to start a new chapter in our lives with you.

Life has been a little scary for us, but we are learning to trust again, and we are beginning to realize that life can be fun and exciting. We love playing together and exploring new places.

I am a beautiful cat with a soft, shiny coat, and big, soulful eyes that will melt your heart. My sister, Orchid, is just as lovely, with a playful spirit.

We are looking for a loving and patient family who will give us the time and attention we need to adjust to our new home. We promise to be loyal and devoted companions, and we hope that you will love us just as much as we will love you.

Please note Iris and Orchard are still in their foster home and will not be available to meet. Please put in an application and a staff member will be in contact with you.

I am a bonded pair!

To pick me up you’re going have to pick up my buddy too.

The adoption fee is per animal.

The Adoption Process

Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat (who is not adopt by application), you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday, or our Edinburgh North location between 10am and 3pm, Thursday to Sunday.

Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you must complete the application form first and if your application is successful you will be contacted by an AWL staff member and proceed to the next steps of your adoption journey.

Please note we no longer do walk throughs of cats or dogs in order to provide a calmer environment for them.

Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
