Meet me

A little bit about me

  • 1 year old
  • Male
  • Animal ID: 258371
  • Desexed
  • Large size
  • Adoption Fee: $300

Hi my name's Spud! I'm an energetic and boisterous man looking for a family who can keep up!! I love people watching, investigating and getting involved in everything I can. It can be pretty hard to get my attention because I am mostly deaf, so a family with patience and an ability to learn as we go would be great. I really enjoy my pats and cuddles but don't know my own size and get super excited, so bigger kids would be ideal. Because of my deafness it would be great to have an owner that understands a variety of methods for training as it will help me grow into the best boy I can be. Come down and meet me today!

The Adoption Process

Currently, appointments are not required if you wish to adopt a cat. If you wish to adopt a cat, you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location any time between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday, or our Edinburgh North location any time between 10am and 3pm, Thursday to Sunday. If you wish to adopt a dog, you must still book an appointment. Please note that the booking of an appointment does not mean the animal is on hold and we will endeavour to advise you if the animal is adopted prior to your appointment.

Dogs and cats that are listed as application are not always available for meet and greets. If your application is successful you will be contacted by an AWL staff member and proceed to the next steps of your adoption journey.

Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
