Hi my name's Brooke!! I'm a big, sookie girl looking for a quiet life. I'm looking for a home where I can cuddle up on the couch and watch telly with my family. I would like to be the only dog in the home, but I may be ok with a friendly cat, I've lived with one before! I would prefer a calm home where I can relax all day long, too much noise makes me a little anxious. I really enjoy sniffing around on my walks, but if something gets my attention I can be really strong! I can be nervous with new people at the start so would like someone with the patience to allow me to warm up when I'm ready and feeling safe. If you think you have the home and heart for a girl like me, book in and come say hi!

The Adoption Process

Currently, appointments are not required if you wish to adopt a cat. If you wish to adopt a cat, you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location any time between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday, or our Edinburgh North location any time between 10am and 3pm, Thursday to Sunday. If you wish to adopt a dog, you must still book an appointment. Please note that the booking of an appointment does not mean the animal is on hold and we will endeavour to advise you if the animal is adopted prior to your appointment.

Dogs and cats that are listed as application are not always available for meet and greets. If your application is successful you will be contacted by an AWL staff member and proceed to the next steps of your adoption journey.

Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
