A little bit about me

  • Adoption Fee: $300

Hello There,

The name is Eddie, and I'd love to find my forever home that will accommodate the big amount of love I can give. When I first meet people I can be a bit nervous, so I'd like a home where people will take things slow with me, and allow me time to warm up to them on my own terms.

I'm a chill and calm boy, and I'd love a big comfy bed or couch for me to snuggle into and relax all day. I like my walks and getting out and about. I am a big lovely boy who would love to meet you, and for you to get to know me better.

If you think I might be the one for you, pop in an application!

The Adoption Process

Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat (who is not adopt by application), you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday, or our Edinburgh North location between 10am and 3pm, Thursday to Sunday.

Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you must complete the application form first and if your application is successful you will be contacted by an AWL staff member and proceed to the next steps of your adoption journey.

Please note we no longer do walk throughs of cats or dogs in order to provide a calmer environment for them.

Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
