Hello everyone! I'm Ezra, nice to meet you!
I wasn't enjoying life at the shelter so a lovely foster family took me in and now I am thriving! My favourite things include getting brushed (I will roll over and let you brush my stomach, paws, bum - no area is hands-off with Ezra!); having snuggles and getting pats; giving kisses and head bumps; sleeping in the warmest spot possible (like a cozy bed, in the sunlight or near the heater). I am a pretty 'chill' cat according to my carer, I'm not too boisterous and prefer to just potter around and snooze the day away but I do occasionally like to play with ping pong balls and mice toys.
As for things I don't like; the vacuum cleaner is my mortal enemy. I'm also not overly keen on big cat towers and prefer to live the grounded life and hang out closer to the floor than way up high. With strangers, I may need some time before I fully open up to new people. I would love a family who will let me take things at my pace and not expect me to show my super loving and affectionate personality straight away. I promise I will make it worth your while if you show me patience and kindness, I may just not show it at first!

The Adoption Process
Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat (who is not adopt by application), you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday, or our Edinburgh North location between 10am and 3pm, Thursday to Sunday.
Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you must complete the application form first and if your application is successful you will be contacted by an AWL staff member and proceed to the next steps of your adoption journey.
Please note we no longer do walk throughs of cats or dogs in order to provide a calmer environment for them.
Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
