Hi there, I'm the beautiful Belle!
My sister Dixie and I are searching for our forever family.
When we first came to the shelter, we were pretty overwhelmed (new things can be scary sometimes!) but, with gentle guidance we have started to come out of our shells. Now we are learning to trust, and we can't wait to find a loving family to call our own!
Since we can still be a little nervous, a quiet household with some patient humans will suit us best. Once we know we're safe, we'll be the best companions you could ask for!
Our puuuurfect home will have a nice spot for us to lounge in the sun by a window (whilst being safe inside), and our loving humans will have yummy treats and give gentle & soft pats when we're ready.
If you're looking for a pair of sweet and lovely girls, we're the ones for you.

The Adoption Process
Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat (who is not adopt by application), you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday, or our Edinburgh North location between 10am and 3pm, Thursday to Sunday.
Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you must complete the application form first and if your application is successful you will be contacted by an AWL staff member and proceed to the next steps of your adoption journey.
Please note we no longer do walk throughs of cats or dogs in order to provide a calmer environment for them.
Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
