Murphy

American Staffy

Apply to adopt

A little bit about me

Application only
  • 1 year old
  • Male
  • Animal ID: 260390
  • Desexed
  • Medium size
  • Adoption Fee: $300

Well hello there!! I'm Murphy! Now I'm a very good boy even though I get very distracted by everything when I'm out on a walk and like to stop and sniff anything that takes my fancy and then pull over to the next thing. It takes we a while to feel really comfortable with someone and have cuddles so I'd like an owner with patience and happy for me to come around when I'm ready. In order for this to happen, you must be willing to provide me with lots of treats and attention. As I can be a little conflicted when coming across things I'm unsure about, I'll be better suited to a home with no young children or dogs. If you think you have what it takes to spoil me, pop in an application!

The Adoption Process

Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat (who is not adopt by application), you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday, or our Edinburgh North location between 10am and 3pm, Thursday to Sunday.

Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you must complete the application form first and if your application is successful you will be contacted by an AWL staff member and proceed to the next steps of your adoption journey.

Please note we no longer do walk throughs of cats or dogs in order to provide a calmer environment for them.

Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
