Hi! I'm the handsome Mr Monty!

Are you looking for a kitty who loves a cuddle but can also do its own thing? Well, look no further because here I am!

I may look a little scary at first, but I'm actually a big softie with an even bigger heart. I love spending my time quietly napping, that is if I'm not meowing to my AWL friends for my favourite treat, roast chicken!!

I may take some time to warm up to new people, but it is all about trust. Show me that you can listen to my needs and that you can be patient while I get to know you, and we will be best buddies in no time!

I can't wait to meet you! (p.s. make sure to give me a chin scratch when you come down, I will love it!)

Hope to see you soon! Love, Monty xx

The Adoption Process

Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat (who is not adopt by application), you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday, or our Edinburgh North location between 10am and 3pm, Thursday to Sunday.

Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you must complete the application form first and if your application is successful you will be contacted by an AWL staff member and proceed to the next steps of your adoption journey.

Please note we no longer do walk throughs of cats or dogs in order to provide a calmer environment for them.

Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
