Meet meHi my name is Puzzles, I came to the shelter scared and overwhelmed so I'm looking for a calm home with a patient family to help me feel safe. I do get a bit worried when meeting new people or investigating new environments so I'll need someone to give me lots of reassurance and confidence building. I love to take my time out on walks and sniff anything that takes my fancy. I would like a home where I'm able to hangout with my family and have couch cuddles during movie night. I would benefit with having an owner with experience with anxious dogs and using positive reinforcement. Once I'm comfortable with my someone I'm very affectionate and would like a family that will appreciate my big kisses as much as I'll appreciate yours. Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat (who is not adopt by application), you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday, or our Edinburgh North location between 10am and 3pm, Thursday to Sunday.
Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you must complete the application form first and if your application is successful you will be contacted by an AWL staff member and proceed to the next steps of your adoption journey.
Please note we no longer do walk throughs of cats or dogs in order to provide a calmer environment for them.
Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
