A little bit about me

  • Male
  • Animal ID: 261617
  • Desexed
  • Medium size
  • Adoption Fee: $50

Hi there! I'm Kovu, nice to meet you.

I am a handsome boy on the hunt for my forever family. When I first came into the shelter I was quite a scared boy, but I just needed some love to let my true personality shine. Now I am very smoochy and absolutely LOVE pats! I love to cozy up for a good snuggle and roll around on my back for belly rubs.

In my previous life, I was not too fond of other cats and dogs so would prefer to go to a home where I am your only furry friend. I can get a little overstimulated at times so would thrive in a quieter environment. While I do love pats, I will let you know when I have had enough so please respect my boundaries.

If you're looking for a loving and loyal cat to keep you company, I am the perfect match for you!

Please come meet me today! xx

The Adoption Process

Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat (who is not adopt by application), you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday, or our Edinburgh North location between 10am and 3pm, Thursday to Sunday.

Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you must complete the application form first and if your application is successful you will be contacted by an AWL staff member and proceed to the next steps of your adoption journey.

Please note we no longer do walk throughs of cats or dogs in order to provide a calmer environment for them.

Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
