Hey there, I'm Monty, and I'm on the lookout for my forever home!
I'm the kind of kitty who just needs a little time to warm up to new people and surroundings. Sudden movements tend to startle me, so a calm and patient environment is what I thrive in. Once I feel safe and trust you, I'll shower you with affection like you've never seen before.
I was quite a scared boy when I first arrived at AWL so a lovely foster carer took me in for some extra TLC and since then I have blossomed! I love getting full body pats and chin rubs! The way to my heart is with treats, roast chicken is my personal fave!
I need to go to a home without other cats and be kept indoors only, the team at AWL can tell you more about me when you pop in an application!
So, if you're someone with a big heart and the patience to let me shine in my own time, we could be the perfect match.

The Adoption Process
Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday, or our Edinburgh North location between 10am and 3pm, Thursday to Sunday.
Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday. Dog adoptions from Edinburgh North are by application only. Please fill out the application form on the dog's profile and wait for our staff to contact you.
Please note we no longer do walk throughs of cats or dogs in order to provide a calmer environment for them.
Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
