I'm a very affectionate man, so a family where there will always be someone waiting for a snuggle would be great! I can be nervous of new things and will be best suited to someone who has some experience reconditioning fear behaviours and using distraction to redirect my attention, that means using lots of baby voices so you better get practicing! A quieter, calm home would be ideal for me with a family who will be happy to accept me as one of their own. If that's you, pop in an application!

Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat (who is not adopt by application), you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday, or our Edinburgh North location between 10am and 3pm, Thursday to Sunday.
Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you must complete the application form first and if your application is successful you will be contacted by an AWL staff member and proceed to the next steps of your adoption journey.
Please note we no longer do walk throughs of cats or dogs in order to provide a calmer environment for them.
Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
