Hi there, I'm Ruby!

I'm a sweet but shy little lady looking for the one...could that be you? I just want someone who will take it slow and let me come out of my shell in a little bit of time. I'm still learning to like pats, I have not had many of those in the life so far... but the lovely people here at the shelter tell me I will one day love them! If you are looking for a gentle girl who will blossom into a snuggle bug please come and see me today xx

Where can you find me?

I am at the Wingfield location.

The Adoption Process

Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat (who is not adopt by application), you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday, or our Edinburgh North location between 10am and 3pm, Thursday to Sunday.

Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you must complete the application form first and if your application is successful you will be contacted by an AWL staff member and proceed to the next steps of your adoption journey.

Please note we no longer do walk throughs of cats or dogs in order to provide a calmer environment for them.

Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
