Meet meHello there, I'm Rosey! My friends at the shelter used to call me a "Rose" among thorns, and let me tell you, I've bloomed beautifully since then.
You know what I absolutely thrive on? Affection and cuddles - they're my ultimate weakness. Once I've warmed up to you, I'm all about snuggling up and showing you just how much love I've got to give. I might start off a bit jumpy, but trust me, it's just because I'm so eager to be close to you.
Here's the thing though: I'm not really a fan of other dogs. So, I'd prefer to be your one and only furry companion. I promise, I'll make up for it with heaps of devotion and loyalty.
Now, about my ideal home - it would be best if there aren't any kids under 16 around. I'm still learning to manage my excitement, and a calm environment would be perfect for me to thrive in.
So, if you're looking for a loyal and affectionate companion who's a work in progress but has a heart full of love to give, I might just be the one for you. Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday, or our Edinburgh North location between 10am and 3pm, Thursday to Sunday.
Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday. Dog adoptions from Edinburgh North are by application only. Please fill out the application form on the dog's profile and wait for our staff to contact you.
Please note we no longer do walk throughs of cats or dogs in order to provide a calmer environment for them.
Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
