Meet meHi, I'm Louie! I arrived at the shelter feeling pretty under the weather, needing lots of vet care and treatments. Thankfully, those days are behind me, and I'm now a much healthier and happier kitty. I've discovered the joy of playful romps and cozy naps, and I'm always up for a bit of fun with my favorite toys.
Though I'm doing much better, I'll still need a family who can keep an eye on my ongoing health needs. In return, I promise to bring heaps of affection, gentle purrs, and lots of cuddles into your home. If you're ready to offer a loving heart and a bit of extra care, I'd love to meet you and become part of your family!

Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday, or our Edinburgh North location between 10am and 3pm, Thursday to Sunday.
Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday. Dog adoptions from Edinburgh North are by application only. Please fill out the application form on the dog's profile and wait for our staff to contact you.
Please note we no longer do walk throughs of cats or dogs in order to provide a calmer environment for them.
Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
