Meet meMeet Blake, a young and shy kitten with a gentle heart. This timid boy will need a lot of patience and understanding as he adjusts to his new home. Initially, he may hiss or retreat when he's scared, but don't be discouraged-this is just his way of coping. Blake is more likely to take treats and show affection once he feels secure. He would do best in a quiet household without children, where he can feel safe and unhurried. Additionally, having another calm, friendly cat around could provide him with the comfort and confidence he needs. With time, Blake has the potential to become a loving and cherished companion.

Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday, or our Edinburgh North location between 10am and 3pm, Thursday to Sunday.
Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday. Dog adoptions from Edinburgh North are by application only. Please fill out the application form on the dog's profile and wait for our staff to contact you.
Please note we no longer do walk throughs of cats or dogs in order to provide a calmer environment for them.
Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
