Meet meHi there, I'm Penny! I'm a happy, bubbly girl who just loves to run! Zoomies are my favorite thing in the world, especially when I get to stretch my legs in a big, safe space. I also love long, sniffy walks where I can explore all the smells-it's like an adventure every time!
I might be a little shy when we first meet, but give me a minute and I'll warm up to you. I adore people, and once I trust you, I'll want all the love and affection you have to give. But I have to be honest-I like my space too. Sometimes too much petting can make me feel a bit overwhelmed, so I appreciate a gentle hand and a cozy spot to retreat to when I need a break.
After a day full of zoomies and walks, you'll find me curled up on my bed, happily relaxing in the same room as my family. I do like a cuddle, but I would prefer to sleep by your feet or on the other end of the couch, close to you and knowing you are there. I can't wait to find a family who will share in all my zoomies, adventures, and cozy evenings. Could that be you?

Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday, or our Edinburgh North location between 10am and 3pm, Thursday to Sunday.
Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday. Dog adoptions from Edinburgh North are by application only. Please fill out the application form on the dog's profile and wait for our staff to contact you.
Please note we no longer do walk throughs of cats or dogs in order to provide a calmer environment for them.
Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
