Meet meKie is a sweet but sassy little kitten with a bit of a nervous side. She's still learning to trust and prefers to keep her space, often shying away from being touched. Though she came into our care on her own, she's taking her time to adjust and will need patience and understanding as she learns to feel safe and comfortable. Kie is looking for a calm and quiet home, preferably without young children, as she can get easily frightened. With a little extra time, love, and gentle encouragement, Kie will blossom into the loving companion she's meant to be. Please give her the space she needs to settle in at her own pace.

Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat you are welcome to visit both our Wingfield and Edinburgh North locations between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday.
Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday. Dog adoptions from Edinburgh North are by application only. Please fill out the application form on the dog's profile and wait for our staff to contact you.

Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
