Hi, I'm Sloane!
I'm a young, curious girl with a gentle heart-though I don't give it away easily. Earning my trust takes time, patience, and a calm presence, but once I start to feel safe, you'll see a softer side of me emerge. Lately, I've started letting my foster human give me gentle pats (big step!) and I'm getting braver every day.
One thing I do love right away? Playtime! Especially with my foster buddy, Meowster. We chase, wrestle, and nap like pros. If you're looking to adopt two cats, we make a great pair. He helps bring out my confidence, and I feel more relaxed when he's around.
Because I'm still young, I could do really well in a quiet, patient home-especially one with other friendly cats to show me the ropes. Just remember, I need time to come out of my shell. But if you're the kind of person who finds joy in watching a shy cat bloom, we might be the perfect match.

The Adoption Process
Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat you are welcome to visit both our Wingfield and Edinburgh North locations between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday.
Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday. Dog adoptions from Edinburgh North are by application only. Please fill out the application form on the dog's profile and wait for our staff to contact you.
Please note: if the animal you wish to adopt is listed as 'application only', please fill out the form on their profile and wait for our team to be in touch.
Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
