Meet Sox - 12-Year-Old Sweetheart
Sox is a gorgeous 12-year-old boy looking for his forever home. He is a sweet, loving and independent gentleman who loves curling up beside you, sitting on your lap or sleeping on the bed.
He loves his cat tree, comfy chair and quiet time. He enjoys pats and greets people happily. He's also wonderful with children aged 6 and 10.
Sox gets along well with other cats and mostly just ignores them. He is not a fan of dogs, however, and will growl and chase them if they get too close, so he needs a dog-free home.
He grumbles when picked up but doesn't scratch or nip, and he's easy to brush and clip his nails. He currently receives 4Cyte for arthritis but still happily jumps onto the bed and cat tree.
Sox would be a wonderful companion for an older person or family with children looking for a calm, affectionate friend.

The Adoption Process
Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat you are welcome to visit both our Wingfield and Edinburgh North locations between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday.
Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday. Dog adoptions from Edinburgh North are by application only. Please fill out the application form on the dog's profile and wait for our staff to contact you.
Please note: if the animal you wish to adopt is listed as 'application only', please fill out the form on their profile and wait for our team to be in touch.
Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
