Ladle is a beautiful, gentle black cat with one very special eye and an even more special heart. She's a little shy at first, but beneath that quiet exterior is a truly loving soul just waiting for the right person to help her feel safe.
Ladle is calm by nature and approaches new people with caution - but never fear. With patience, kindness, and slow movements, she quickly shows how sweet she really is. She responds wonderfully to gentle voices and reassuring companionship.
Once she warms up, Ladle becomes incredibly affectionate. She loves cuddles, leans in for soft head rubs, and enjoys being close to the people she trusts. Watching her relax and open her heart is an absolute joy.
This lovely girl has only one eye, but she handles life beautifully. She just needs a bit of understanding and a home where she can navigate comfortably. To keep her safe and protected, she must remain an indoor-only cat.
Ladle will thrive in a quiet, calm home with people who appreciate gentle companionship. Give her a safe place and a little patience, and she'll give you endless love in return.

Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat you are welcome to visit both our Wingfield and Edinburgh North locations between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday.
Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday. Dog adoptions from Edinburgh North are by application only. Please fill out the application form on the dog's profile and wait for our staff to contact you.

Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
