Hi, I'm Blueberry.
I'm a quiet little girl who's still learning how big and wonderful the world can be. New places and new people feel a bit overwhelming to me right now, so I tend to watch from a safe spot first. I'm not hiding because I don't like you - I'm just taking my time to understand that you're kind.
What I am looking for is someone patient, gentle, and willing to let me bloom at my own pace. With calm voices, slow movements, and a soft place to rest, I start to feel brave enough to peek out... then one day, I might surprise you by leaning in for a pat or curling up nearby. Think of it as a reward for gaining my trust!
I'm also FIV-positive, but don't worry - that just means I need a little extra care and an indoor-only life. I can still live a long, happy, love-filled life, and it doesn't stop me from being the gentle soul I am.
I may not be the cat who runs to greet you on day one - but I'll be the one who slowly, steadily learns to trust you, and who will love you in my own quiet, sincere way. If you enjoy the journey of watching a shy little soul grow more confident every day, I think we could be perfect for each other.

Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat you are welcome to visit both our Wingfield and Edinburgh North locations between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday.
Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday. Dog adoptions from Edinburgh North are by application only. Please fill out the application form on the dog's profile and wait for our staff to contact you.
Please note: if the animal you wish to adopt is listed as 'application only', please fill out the form on their profile and wait for our team to be in touch.
Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
