Ammo is a big, attention-seeking boy with loads of character and energy. He loves to play and wants to be right in the middle of whatever is happening, always keen for interaction with his people.
Ammo isn't overly comfortable with lots of handling, so he will need owners who can read his signals, respect his boundaries, and continue working with him using positive, reward-based training. He absolutely adores his teddies and is famous for carrying them around proudly wherever he goes.
He already knows sit, shake, and down, but Ammo still needs help with his general manners and impulse control. Because of his size, strength, and personality, he will be best suited to experienced dog owners who are committed to ongoing training, structure, and enrichment.
With the right guidance and understanding home, Ammo has the potential to be a fun, loyal companion who will keep you entertained and on your toes. Just make sure you have plenty of teddies!

Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat you are welcome to visit both our Wingfield and Edinburgh North locations between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday.
Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday. Dog adoptions from Edinburgh North are by application only. Please fill out the application form on the dog's profile and wait for our staff to contact you.

Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
