Meet meBinx is a beautiful little black kitten with soft eyes and a quiet, sensitive nature. He is very shy and currently finding the shelter environment quite stressful, so he's looking for a calm, understanding home where he can finally relax and feel safe.
While Binx may retreat at first, this is simply his way of protecting himself. With patience, gentle voices, and a peaceful routine, he has the potential to slowly build confidence and show his true self. He would do best with an adopter who understands shy kittens and is happy to let him settle in at his own pace, without pressure or expectations.
A quiet household with plenty of hiding spots, soft bedding, and consistent care will help Binx blossom. Once he learns that he is safe, he's likely to form a deep bond with his person and become a loyal, loving companion.

Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat you are welcome to visit both our Wingfield and Edinburgh North locations between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday.
Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday. Dog adoptions from Edinburgh North are by application only. Please fill out the application form on the dog's profile and wait for our staff to contact you.

Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
