Meet meKumquat is a gentle, sensitive boy who approaches new people and experiences with caution. He's much more nervous than his brother but he just shows his affection in quieter, subtler ways. He'll need a calm, patient home that understands he may take time to feel safe and comfortable, and that trust is built slowly with him.
With a soft approach, predictable routines, and plenty of space to go at his own pace, Kumquat begins to relax and let his guard down. As his confidence grows, his sweet nature and curious side start to emerge, and those small moments of bravery become incredibly rewarding. With kindness, understanding, and patience, Kumquat has the potential to blossom into a loving companion who brings gentle presence and quiet connection to his forever home.

Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat you are welcome to visit both our Wingfield and Edinburgh North locations between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday.
Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday. Dog adoptions from Edinburgh North are by application only. Please fill out the application form on the dog's profile and wait for our staff to contact you.

Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
