Silver Petal is a shy adult cat who is just beginning to trust people. She moves through the world cautiously, often observing from a safe distance, but there's a quiet curiosity in her eyes that hints at the sweetness underneath. Every small step she takes toward connection is a triumph-and when she finally relaxes enough to accept gentle pets or soft words, it's incredibly rewarding.
She will need a home with patience, consistency, and plenty of understanding. Silver Petal isn't ready to rush into affection, but with love at her own pace, she will gradually blossom into a loyal and loving companion. Those who are willing to go slowly will be rewarded with the deep trust and bond of a cat who truly chooses to love.

Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat you are welcome to visit both our Wingfield and Edinburgh North locations between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday.
Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday. Dog adoptions from Edinburgh North are by application only. Please fill out the application form on the dog's profile and wait for our staff to contact you.

Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
