Nyx

Nyx is currently in foster care, where she's been given the time and space to build her confidence around people and her environment. She has already made great progress, slowly breaking down her walls and learning to trust love and that she is safe.

She enjoys playing, especially with ping pong balls and soft toys, and is quite good at entertaining herself. Like many cats, she becomes more active in the evenings and is starting to discover that playing with people can be fun too. Nyx is also very food-motivated and keeps herself well-groomed, though her long black coat will benefit from regular brushing.

Nyx can still be a little unsure of the world and is sensitive to loud noises, often choosing to retreat and hide when she feels overwhelmed. She finds comfort in cosy, enclosed beds where she feels safe, and once settled, she'll come out to quietly explore. She's shown interest in other cats, often chirping at them in a gentle, curious way.

While touch has taken time for her to feel comfortable with, she is now beginning to enjoy head scratches, and will happily purr and make biscuits once she feels safe.

Nyx is a gentle, sensitive girl who will thrive in a calm, quiet, patient home without young children. She's not the kind of cat who will immediately seek out attention or affection. She needs time to settle, build trust, and form a bond. But for someone willing to give her that time, Nyx will be a deeply rewarding companion as her personality continues to blossom.

Nyx is an indoor-only cat where she feels safe. She will not cope being outside due to her fear of environments and noises and is looking for a home that understands that and her need for patience, kindness, and a steady environment where she can feel safe. Please be patient with the application process as we need to look out for Nyx and find her the right home.
