Shakira is a gorgeous young adult calico girl with a gentle nature and a curious heart. While she may be a little shy when first meeting new people or settling into a new environment, it doesn't take long for her sweet personality to shine through.
Once she feels safe and comfortable, Shakira quickly warms up and loves exploring her surroundings, following her curiosity from room to room and taking in everything around her. She enjoys having a cozy space to relax in while still being close enough to watch what's going on.
Shakira would thrive in a calm, loving home that can give her a little patience as she settles in. In return, you'll get to watch her confidence grow and see her blossom into a lovely companion.

Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat you are welcome to visit both our Wingfield and Edinburgh North locations between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday.
Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday. Dog adoptions from Edinburgh North are by application only. Please fill out the application form on the dog's profile and wait for our staff to contact you.

Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
