Meet meTeal'c is a shy little gentleman who is still learning that people can be kind. He can be a bit hissy when he feels unsure, but underneath it all is a playful kitten who loves treats, toys, and a good game of chase.
Right now, Teal'c can be a little conflicted about human attention. New people and sudden hand movements can make him nervous, and he may prefer to admire you from a safe distance at first. However, once you earn his trust and break through that initial uncertainty, he absolutely loves gentle pats and affection. Building that bond just takes a little patience and understanding.
While he's still growing in confidence around humans, Teal'c absolutely loves the company of other cats and would thrive in a home with a friendly feline companion to play with and keep him company. He can get quite lonely on his own, and having a kitty friend would help him feel safe and happy.
What Teal'c needs most is a patient and understanding home that will let him settle in at his own pace. With time, love, plenty of snacks, and a cat buddy by his side, Teal'c has all the potential to blossom into a confident, affectionate, and content companion.

Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat you are welcome to visit both our Wingfield and Edinburgh North locations between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday.
Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday. Dog adoptions from Edinburgh North are by application only. Please fill out the application form on the dog's profile and wait for our staff to contact you.

Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
