Meet meAt just 7 months old, Quill is a handsome tuxedo boy with bright green eyes, adorable white socks, and the cutest little ink-smudge nose. Beneath his cautious exterior is a gentle, affectionate kitten who is still learning that people can be kind and the world can be safe.
Quill is a shy and sensitive soul. New environments, sudden noises, and fast movements can make him nervous, and he prefers to take things at his own pace. He may hide or keep his distance at first, but with patience and a calm approach, his sweet personality begins to shine.
Once Quill feels comfortable, he transforms into a loving little companion. He absolutely adores gentle head pats and will reward trusted humans with happy purrs, soft rolls, and plenty of biscuit-making. Food is also the way to his heart, and treats are a wonderful way to help him build confidence and form bonds.
Because Quill is still learning that handling and close human contact are safe, he is looking for an experienced and patient adopter who understands that trust cannot be rushed. He would thrive in a quiet, predictable home with adults or older respectful children who can give him the time and space he needs to blossom.

Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday. Dog adoptions from Edinburgh North are by application only. Please fill out the application form on the dog's profile and wait for our staff to contact you.

Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
