Meet meMae is a sweet kitten who can be quite shy when meeting new people and adjusting to new surroundings. She likes to take her time getting comfortable and will appreciate a patient family that allows her to settle in at her own pace.
As Mae's confidence grows, her playful and affectionate personality begins to shine. She quickly discovers that treats are a wonderful way to make friends, and she loves gentle scratches and interactive playtime. Watching Mae come out of her shell and learn to trust is incredibly rewarding, and her sweet nature makes every milestone special.
Mae is looking for a calm, understanding home where she can continue building her confidence. With patience, love, and plenty of treats, scratches, and toys, Mae will blossom into a wonderful companion and a cherished member of the family.

Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat you are welcome to visit both our Wingfield and Edinburgh North locations between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday.
Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday. Dog adoptions from Edinburgh North are by application only. Please fill out the application form on the dog's profile and wait for our staff to contact you.

Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
