Dougie is a happy, energetic lad with big puppy energy and an even bigger heart! Full of enthusiasm for life, he's always ready for his next adventure, whether that's exploring a new walking trail, heading out on a hike, or simply spending quality time with his favourite people.
This affectionate boy absolutely loves human company and can be a little clingy-he's happiest when he's included in whatever you're doing. While he enjoys toys, he'd much rather play with his people, especially if there are tasty snacks involved! Dougie is very food motivated, making him a fantastic candidate for ongoing training.
Like many young, exuberant dogs, Dougie can be a little boisterous and jumpy when he's excited, so he's looking for a family who can help him polish his manners using positive, reward-based training. With consistency, patience, and plenty of treats, he's sure to thrive.

Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat you are welcome to visit both our Wingfield and Edinburgh North locations between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday.
Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday. Dog adoptions from Edinburgh North are by application only. Please fill out the application form on the dog's profile and wait for our staff to contact you.

Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
