The 2024 Annual General Meeting of Animal Welfare League of South Australia Inc. (AWL) will be held on Tuesday 15 October 2024 at 6:00pm in the Atrium of the Animal Care Centre, 1-19 Cormack Road Wingfield SA 5013 (venue will be open from 5:30pm).
The following business is to be transacted:
- Opening
- Apologies
- Minutes from the Previous Annual General Meeting
- AWL Constitutional Amendments: To consider and if though fit pass, with or without modification, the following resolution as a special resolution:
- ‘That the existing Constitution of the Association be revoked and replaced by the form of Constitution tabled at the meeting and signed by the Chair for identification.’
- Chair’s Annual Report
- CEO’s Annual Report
- Financial Report and Statement
- Appointment of Returning Officer
- Election of Board of Management
- Appointment of Auditors and Other Officers as may be required
- Other Business
- Closure
Members who intend voting at the AGM must do so in person, with such members required to remain at the meeting during nominees’ addresses.
Item 4. AWL Constitution Amendments: A summary of the key proposed changes to AWL’s Constitution can be found below*.
Alterations will be proposed for acceptance by a Special Resolution of those Members present and eligible to vote at the Annual General Meeting (to revoke and replace the existing Constitution with the Constitution submitted to the meeting and signed by the Chair for identification).
- Proposed new version of the Constitution with alterations marked as tracked changes for reference.
- Proposed new version of the Constitution (clean copy, no tracked changes).
- Current version of the Constitution.
The 2023/2024 Impact Report will be available at the meeting. After the meeting, copies can be viewed online at awl.org.au.
