Born in a small village near Rome, Serena grew up with two deep passions; nature and drawing. As a child, she used to cover all her kitchen shelves with coloured drawings full of flowers and animals!
With a Master’s Degree in Biology, she continued to study art and draw as her hobby. After graduating Serena went through different jobs, at the same time trying to dedicate herself to nature, working as environmental educator for the Italian Ministry of Agricultural, Environmental and Forestry Policies (MIPAAF) and volunteering as Marine Mammal Observer.
In 2016 she started to volunteer in a dog refuge as a dog walker, until she came to Adelaide, where Serena is keeping on volunteering, offering AWL her personal artistic contributions.
