Giving to AWL's work

COVID-19 Update
AWL is proud to be funded by our generous community and now, more than ever, we are relying on your donations to care for the lost, abandoned and desperate animals in our care.
Through these trying times, lonely and unloved animals will still need our care, so please give to animals in need.

If you are unwell please do NOT come to any of our sites, we are sure you understand. Thank you.

In addition to income from the services we provide, it’s vital that kind and sympathetic supporters like you continue to donate, sponsor and fundraise for our animal care programs and services. We couldn’t do it without you.

Cash donations

Please consider making a donation, sponsoring a kennel or joining our Paw Partners Program by making an affordable donation each month.

Toys and treats

If you’d prefer to donate useful items to us we are always in need of:

  • Treats - both soft treats and hard treats like chews that take a while to get through
  • Toys - especially enrichment toys, kongs / wobblers and snuffle mats - anything that a dog has to get involved in to use
  • Cardboard boxes of all shapes and sizes, egg cartons, toilet rolls
  • Clam shell pools
  • Cat litter (specifically breeders choice recycled paper litter)
  • Towels

Please bring them to our Gillman Sorting Centre, Unit 8, 55 Kapara Road, Gillman.

Clothes and bric-a-brac

You can donate clothes and bric-a-brac directly at our ReTAILS Thrift Stores (Tranmere, Gawler, Port Adelaide, Paralowie and Hallett Cove).

Worth noting

We have a great partnership with Purina for pet food. As you know pets don’t like chopping and changing their diet, so we really can’t use donated pet food.

To keep costs low we have purpose made, easy to wash blankets for our pets. So, we can’t put blankets or donated bedding to good use.

Donations of cash, toys, treats and clothes are always very welcome. Thank you!
