How can you help?
One of the vital ways in which you can support the AWL is to make a money donation. You donation will help the AWL team continue to provide adoption, behaviour, health and environmental enrichment services plus food and shelter to thousands of animals in need each year.
Alternatively you can call (08) 8348 1300 to make a donation or mail it to: Animal Welfare League, PO Box 1525, Port Adelaide, SA 5015.
We understand that many people may not be in the position to make a monetary donation, but there are many other ways you can help the lost and abandoned animals in our care.
After a busy Christmas period of many generous donations from our community, the AWL will no longer be accepting donations at the Wingfield and Edinburgh North locations.
The only donations we are able to accept are pet toys and treats which can be delivered to our Customer Service team at Wingfield.
Donations of clothes suitable for sale and bric-a-brac may be made direct to the five ReTAILS Thrift Stores (located at Tranmere, Gawler, Port Adelaide, Paralowie and Hallett Cove).
Donations no longer required at Wingfield and Edinburgh North include:
- Household items
- Pet food
Thank you for thinking of us!
To raise the vital funds to support the animals in out care the AWL has many fundraising activities that you can be involved in as well as many ideas so you can fundraise for the AWL!
As an organisation that cares for approximately 12,000 dogs and cats each year without any direct Government funding, the AWL would not be able to operate without the tremendous support of hundreds volunteers. Our volunteers dedication day after day is something truly remarkable and without their contribution we would not be able to provide lifesaving adoption, behaviour, health and training services to thousands of animals in need.
