Ember is a true husky through and through, with all the character and charm that makes this breed so special. She's quirky, vocal and sure to keep you entertained with her own little ways of expressing herself!
But beneath that classic husky personality, Ember can be a little shy and needs some time to feel comfortable around new people and in unfamiliar surroundings. She's looking for a patient, calm and understanding family who will give her the space she needs to settle in and help her discover that the world can be a safe and wonderful place.
Ember will need a committed owner who is willing to work with her, build her confidence and celebrate all those little milestones along the way. She's not looking for someone who expects her to be confident overnight, but someone who understands that trust takes time and that the most rewarding relationships are built with patience, consistency and kindness.
In return, you'll have the opportunity to watch Ember blossom into a more confident and relaxed girl, discovering the joys of life at her own pace.

Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat you are welcome to visit both our Wingfield and Edinburgh North locations between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday.
Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday. Dog adoptions from Edinburgh North are by application only. Please fill out the application form on the dog's profile and wait for our staff to contact you.

Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
