Rhylie is a sweet and loving dog who truly flourishes in a calm, quiet home with minimal visitors. He would thrive in a household with another dog who shares his playstyle, as he enjoys companionship and interaction. Rhylie can be a bit more cautious around men, for this reason he would suit a female owner and household where he would feel more at ease. He may require a few visits before he fully opens up, so a patient and understanding approach is important. Ideally, he would benefit from an experienced owner who can help him gradually adjust to new people and environments. Rhylie will need some time to feel comfortable and build trust ensuring he doesn't feel overwhelmed.

Once he's warmed up, Rhylie is a true cuddle bug who loves nothing more than spending time with his human and canine companions. He enjoys playing with toys and swimming in shell pools. Rhylie will make a loyal, affectionate companion for the right person who is patient and understanding.

Like most of the shelter dogs they crave companionship, they want to be part of the family and have a safe haven to retreat to if it gets too noisy outside, so Rhylie would suit a home with an open-door policy where he can come and go as he pleases.

Since Rhylie does find his confidence from his canine companions, he would be best suited in a home where he can have a dog friend to keep him company and to help him feel brave, however this is not a requirement. He would like some doggy friends in his life even its family dogs.

Rhylie looks forward to meeting his potential next best friends!

Here is a word from his foster carer:

Rhylie has settled beautifully into his routine, he is housetrained, loves his toys and is honestly one of the sweetest dogs I have ever fostered. He is living with 3 small dogs at the moment and desperately wants to befriend them, however he isn't very good when it comes to spatial awareness so doesn't realize laying on them isn't welcomed. Rhylie just wants to be loved and if you're lucky enough to win his heart, you'll wonder how you ever did life without him.
