Though initially very timid, Nana has started to show her affectionate side. With the encouragement of food, she will accept gentle pats, and when she's feeling comfortable, she even approaches her foster carer for head bunts and meows for treats.
Adopters should understand that Nana's trust isn't given freely-it's earned with love, patience, and kindness. She will need a quiet home and a human who understands that connection with her will take time. The Adoption Process
Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat you are welcome to visit both our Wingfield and Edinburgh North locations between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday.
Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday. Dog adoptions from Edinburgh North are by application only. Please fill out the application form on the dog's profile and wait for our staff to contact you.
Please note: if the animal you wish to adopt is listed as 'application only', please fill out the form on their profile and wait for our team to be in touch.
Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
